The Baylor Alumni Association board of directors has adopted standing rules for the September 7 all-member meeting to vote on the proposed Transition Agreement and for the preceding discussion forum. The voting meeting will begin at 11 a.m. in Waco Hall, and the discussion forum—also in Waco Hall—will be from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

On September 7, the BAA will begin verifying memberships at 8 a.m. outside Waco Hall. A photo ID for each member is required to verify membership.
Voting will be by paper ballot, and polls will open after a brief period of debate during the 11 a.m. meeting. Members may then cast ballots between 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. in the Waco Hall lobby.
Verification will continue during the discussion forum meeting and up until the polls close. Everyone who is in line to be verified at 1:30 p.m. will be checked and allowed to vote if their membership is current.
“The member verification process is critical,” the BAA’s assistant vice president of membership and marketing Beth Wooten said. “We will be deliberate and will handle the process with utmost care. We don’t know how many people will be there, but we have planned for a large crowd.”
Members can check their membership status in advance by e-mailing Tessa@BaylorAlumniAssociation.com, but they will still need to check in on September 7 to show a photo ID and receive a voter registration card, which they will then exchange for a ballot when voting begins.
