Oftentimes, the story is more interesting than the headline. That’s the case with the 140 granite memorial lampposts around the Baylor campus, reminders for those who notice them about Baylor alumni and students who were killed while serving in the military. Today is a painful day for the Baylor Family. However, just as in any family, we must come together and move forward. We pray for all of those affected by today’s actions, most importantly the victims, their families and our university leadership. As a family, we all need to process what has happened, make the changes necessary to ensure this never happens again and chart a thoughtful path forward, consistent with Baylor University’s mission (link).
